He2 plus washer door locked.

Kenmore he2 frontload washer. Ok check the door switch lock unit running the drain cycle. Reach up behind the front panel and pull down on a pull ring that is attached to the bottom of the door lock mechanism to manually unlock the door. Remove the bottom front service panel as shown in the first image below.

If the door lock receiver is clear check the wire harness connections between the door lock switch assembly and the main electronic control board. This may reset the door lock it will release the door too. Start cycle causes door to lock but then nothing more. You can manually unlock the washer door by following these steps.

If door is locked drain the unit. Remove the lower toe panel by removing the screws along the bottom edge. Pull the door open. Then reach inside the washer by the door lock and pull the manual release tab on the bottom of the lock.

Plug in washer or reconnect power. Disconnect the power cord from the power source. Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects. Remove lower cover and drain by opening the pump filter.

Then pull the door open. To manually unlock and open the door remove the bottom front service panel reach up into the cabinet and pull down on the manual release tab on the bottom of the door lock switch assembly. Unplug the washer to completely disconnect electrical power. Remove the lower front panel from the front of the washer by removing the 3 screws in the bottom of it.

Check for foreign objects in the door lock receiver. Check the two ground switches are pressed correctly by the toe and rear panels. Timer does not decrement water does not enter.
